Believe it or not, hen parties are becoming almost productive, with a dabble in arts and crafts for those looking to do something completely non-conventional. Ladies can now get together for a spot of sewing, cake decorating or cooking. It’s even become popular to make something together for the big wedding day (something borrowed, something new!).
On the list of creative activities hen party-goers are now taking up include: cupcake decorating, chocolate making and even pizza making. Getting together for some edible creations is particularly popular amongst groups with a large mix of ages – from young teenage girls, to mums and nans.
They also make a good day time activity for anyone looking to do something nice and sober in the day before setting out for a big night on the town.
For ladies looking for something a little more glamorous, perfume and jewellery making classes over a glass of prosecco have become popular too. In a city centre location it’s easy to host a glamorous crafting session at a venue of your choice. Most commonly a weekend apartment is booked for the whole gang, with lots of space to sit, craft and chat in private.
Want to spice it up? Hens can also get customizing their own pair of knickers, garters and fascinators BUT to add some real cheeky fun, you could invite a butler in the buff to help out with the fetching, sewing and general eye candy. Even some bookable activities themselves can be saucy such as male body painting, hiring a nude model for a life drawing session or even a naked chocolatier!
Whilst all activities are bookable through stag and hen party organisers, you may choose to setup some crafting parties yourselves. All you need is a good selection of materials, sewing kits and plenty of space. Perhaps even for someone’s birthday or a creative family get-together!
